Should we fight war against Russia: A Military perspective!

In our countries 245 years of existence, we have been in armed conflict of some sorts for 225 of those years. Thats a lot of war! You would think we would be pretty good at war by now but in the last 100 years we have only won 3 of our last 12-armed conflicts. Those would be WW2, Grenada, and desert storm. Afghanistan was a dismal failure where we were seen by the world as tucking our tails and running away in a chaotic fashion. I wasn't surprised at all by this as I was in the invasion of Kandahar in 2010. I also did the invasion of Iraq in 2003 and the surge into Baghdad in 2008. So, I am somewhat knowledgeable on the subject. What I saw was complete leadership failures in mission, strategy and execution. To this day I still don't understand what our mission was there besides capture and kill Saddam and Osama. Well, honestly, I do our mission was to win hearts and minds and restore the countries of Iraq and Afghanistan to an American friendly status. What I didn't see is a winning strategy to unrealistic mission with piss poor execution. There's a saying…

Be good or be good at it

America is doing neither and hasn't for a long time and the buck stops at the top. In the army the leader sets the example. The leader sets the tempo. The leader plans which the team executes. One chief, many sub layers but all Indians. Moving parts all functioning as one creating the leader's outcome. the leader is the brain the subordinates the body eyes and ears. Thats how it's supposed to work. Why isn't it though? is it the squad leaders' fault as I was? Is it the generals fault? Is it the commander in chief fault? The answer is yes to all of them. It's quite simple the leader plans and soldiers execute. Plans have to be feasible. Like I can't just ask my soldiers to use magic and produce results but that's what we're doing. Were haphazardly fumble fucking a football and asking for a touch down without giving the team a ball. I'll explain using an example from Afghanistan.

April 2011 Kandahar Afghanistan 530 AM LOCAL.

I woke up like any day got out of my bed and went to my computer. My morning ritual is saying hello to my wife and checking the news. I'm the squad leader and ground commander for the QRF for Kandahar province. QRF stands for quick reaction force. I'm with 1st special troops battalion of 1st Brigade from the 4th infantry division. I'm stationed at Camp Nathan Smith inside Kandahar City. As Drudge Report loads, I immediately notice the top headline 500 Taliban escape from Kandahar prison (al Jereza new source). Thats News to me directly as I would be called out to that location. I skip the wife check in and do a radio check while waking all my team leaders up. “Loud and Clear” comes across the radio. The news article is 3 hours old. I immediately head for the tactical operation center and talk to the battle captain. Hes as surprised as I am and calls Sarposa Prison. My guy's radio checks come across the air in the TOC were ready to go. It's been 5 minutes since I woke up. Sarposa Prison reports all well and is ordered to do a head count. I leave the TOC and join my guys and we leave base heading 8 minutes down the road to the Prison. it's been 10 minutes since I woke up. Halfway there the first situation report shows were missing some prisoners and there still doing head count. I arrive 3 minutes after that sending my teams into the fields around the prison, I want them to find an entry point. I walk into Saraposa TOC and meet with their battle captain while my guys look for ghosts. I update him of the news article reported now over 3 hours ago and ask when his last head count was. 5PM the night before. Now I'm no genius by any term but I know we do more head counts than that in American prisons and I get explained that because of Abu Ghraib Afghan National Security Forces are the primary for prison control. Note that we just took Kandahar and now were using ex Taliban enforcers to run the holding operations for our entire mission in this province. Yeah, I know we have been in this country for 11 years and were just getting to Kandahar. My guys locate the hole for the exit while reports are coming in about holes in the cells. I remember saying this is why we're losing this fucking war. what ensues after this discovery is a miserable reaction to save face by the upper levels of leadership in Kandahar but honestly, it's all coming from the commander in chief Barrak Obama. we cordon off all exits out of Kandahar and begin searching everyone coming in and out. wouldn't that be a good idea to do every day all day if you want to secure a city. Searches come up empty and on top of it a soldier fearing a suicide bomber opens fire on a car full of unarmed civilians. This sums up my fourteen years in the military. Were definitely not being good nor good at it. Another score for a half ass enemy that we can't seem to beat, and it all starts with Hearts and Minds.

Back under George W. Bush during the initial starts of these wars there was a saying beat into our heads that we had to win the hearts and minds of the people to win these wars. I disagree 100%. we went to both due to September 11th, 2001 as they were marked the axis of evil. In fact, I learned that we were still making the same mistakes we were making in Vietnam. We were trying to shoot our way to winning over a civilian populace that whole goal in life was to be left alone. Its why we took Baghdad in 21 day and supposedly Afghanistan in 48 days. The people didn't want to fight us. In Iraq they were happy we kicked out Saddam for the most part. We were celebrated in every city we went once the shooting stopped. I remember them asking when we were going to leave while they shook our hands and thanked us for the end of Saddam's brutal regime. 3 months after that I found out what an improvised explosive was. We lost 3 people. Thats when this whole hearts and minds thing came about. funny enough we would have won hearts and minds had we unassed the AO after capturing Saddam. Let's not forget we failed to get Osama Bin Laden for almost 11 years. So, what were we doing that whole time? Honestly making mistake after mistake and building enemy after enemy because I hate to break it to you Soldiers are not ambassadors. honestly when you say win hearts and minds as a soldier, I say two in the heart one in the mind because that's what my job is. We're not baking cookies for a living were winning wars against enemies to our country's way of life. If we look back in history the last 100 years business has been bad. Why is that?

It's very simple we lost picture of what our objective is. Our politicians have been on a nation building conquest since WW2 and it's failing miserably. War after war ends in complete failure because we can't put a gun to some one's head and tell them to live like us. They don't want to, and many are willing to die than conform. I don't blame them I didn't like when they locked us down with COVID. I didn't like that the left defends the 561 city riots of 2020 while the right defends the January 6th storming of the capital. I saw it all coming but I didn't like it. all of it was wrong. all of it was pointless and all of it has pushed our country to a brink where civil war is in the whispers of late-night conversations. It all comes down to leadership and the left and right continue to polarize the situation all while America tries to keep up with what's the new rule of the day and what will get me in trouble. Shoot I even make sure I'm not dressing “black” to not offend people but honestly, I don't even know what black dress is. with all this hustle and bustle Bidens spitting off at the mouth to Putin who has to be sitting back laughing as America goes down the drain. back in 2009 he actually said America is on the verge of collapse and boy does it look like he was right. In the name of wokeism we can't be violent unless your woke and it's justified by a fake justification based on something that happened that reflects the history of Americas as racist or hateful. all the while Putin lines his troops up on the Ukrainian border and gets ready for full scale take over, I bet there not going to win hearts and minds. I bet there going to shoot anyone not willing to comply with Russian authority because they don't care about being the good guy. They know history is written by the victor. In war victory is completed by killing as many of the enemies' people and advancing till they collapse, surrender, or die. Thats war and that's what were about to do with Russia possibly in the next few days. Or are we?

Based off history it looks like we're going to pussy foot around. Get a bunch of our guys killed till we get tired of losing and then quit is some horrible fashion and run with our tails between our legs. Thats the New America. Woke America. Politically correct America. In fact, our allies are half hesitant to join us on this journey. I don't blame them why would you follow a loser that skips out of town like we did to our allies in Afghanistan. Meanwhile people are looking at Xi and Putin as if they are the new America. Do they like them? hell no! but it's better than ending up like Ukraine. Bidens a backstabbing pussy and Harris seems to not even really know what's going on. Yet here we go 82nd airborne is leaving station heading to Europe. More American blood spilling in the name of half ass war just like black hawk down I know the men will fight brilliantly with assets being cut and rules being issued as the American public fails to stomach the bloodshed of American tyranny. Why 82nd though. Are they equipped… no. in fact politically correct has made soldiers lame now adays with stress cards and such! Im almost laughing to see when a soldier pulls out the stress card as the enemy pours lead down on the position but it's not funny. We actually have to win this war because if we dont soon we will be next!

China and Russia are going strong on joint operation whether the news media or military intelligence says otherwise. I bet right after the Olympics Russia invades Ukraine and China takes Taiwan. In fact, on Australia's 60 minutes China is saying to get ready for Armageddon. that doesn't sound too good for America as we can't even handle mean tweets. does it stop there I don't know. with Biden at the helm our leadership looks weak, and our generals are just following orders. I wonder what General Patton would say. I'll say this if we don't get our heads out of asses, we will have long hard times to come.
